Smok TFV8 Baby Strip and Mesh Coils Review

Smok has released strip coils and mesh coils for the TFV12 Prince tank and the TFV8 Baby tank. There has been much hype about these coils and how they are supposed to improve your vaping experience vastly. The question is, does their performance live up to it? In this review, we will be looking at the mesh coils and strip coils for the TFV8 Baby tank.

Mesh coils and strip coils are very different from the regular spiral wire that you will find in most tanks. I don’t even think they qualify to be referred to as coils since they are mainly small sheets of perforated metal. These “coils” are designed to allow heat spread evenly throughout them. This result in a faster ramp-up time as well as richer flavor and larger clouds. If you are a seasoned vaper and you have never tried strip coils or mesh coils, you will notice the difference the first time that you take a hit. It is as though the flavor and vapor production of the tank is amped up. Whether you are a flavor chaser or cloud chaser, you will love using these new tanks.

Smok TFV8 Baby Strip Coil
The Smok V8 Baby strip coil will bring a marked improvement to your vaping experience. As indicated above, the strip coil is a metal strip that is covered with tiny holes. The coil is made of Kanthal. The porous structure of the coil and wide surface area promotes absorption of your e-juice and also faster heating. You will start getting huge clouds almost immediately you take a puff due to the rapid ramp-up time of this coil.

The TFV8 Baby strip coil has a resistance of 0.15 ohm. It has a wattage range of 40 to 100 watts. For the best vaping experience, you keep it between 80 to 90 watts. I do not recommend vaping at 100 watts on this coil. The coil vapes nicely at 90 watts. You will not get any burnt taste or harshness in the throat.

When I read that the mesh and strip coils last longer than regular coils, I didn’t give it much thought. But, I must say I am impressed. These coils have lasted way longer than I expected. The best part is that the taste of the e-liquid is still quite vibrant.

Smok TFV8 Baby Mesh Coil
The Smok V8 mesh coil is just as impressive as the strip coil. As the name implies, this coil is a wire mesh. It is made of stainless steels. The V8 mesh coil is broader than the strip coil. Due to the mesh structure of the coil, the surface area heats up quickly and evenly. This results in huge vapor production and intense flavor. If you have a thing for huge clouds, I recommend this coil. The mesh coil also has a longer lifespan than regular coils.

The Smok TFV8 Baby mesh coil has a resistance of 0.15 ohm and a wattage range of 40 to 80 watts. It is best between 60 too 70 watts.

The vapor production of the TFV8 mesh coil is incredible. And there is virtually no ramp up time. You will start getting thick clouds the moment you pull when you are taking a puff.

The Smok TFV8 mesh coil and strip coil are not only compatible with the TFV8 Baby tank but also the TFV8 Big Baby, the TFV12 Prince, and the TFV12 Big Baby Prince. These coils come in packs of five. You can get these coils from most online and physical vape shops. A pack of five Smok TFV8 Baby mesh/strip coils costs $14.99 each at the Atomic Dog Vapor online store. This vape shop provides superb customer service and fast shipping.
